Growing up gay, continued

The Post series on gay youth concludes with two articles published yesterday and today on 17-year-old Felicia Holt of Newark, N.J. (“Braving the Streets Her Way” and “Using Her Voice to Rise Above”). Staff writer Anne Hull hosted an online discussion this morning.

» Previously in this series, Michael Shackelford.

I have to say, I really was impressed by this series. It didn’t go as far in some ways as I’d have liked, and failed to let on that there are other, less bleak, versions of the story, but I thought it was lovely and hope a lot of people read it.

Thanks so much for posting this! I caught the Shackelford article, but I hadn’t seen this one yet.

This series by Anne Hull has been spectacular. Each story offers hope and heartache. One has to wonder what the future holds?
