Package

PackageThe company I work for is rolling out remote VPN access using electronic tokens. The token provides a randomly generated number that changes frequently, which along with other identifying information allows off-site access to applications and other resources. Cool.

Mine arrived today. It came in a package that reads, “PADDED POUCH - SMALL.” Heh. DHL, such a size queen.

I love DHL because they are the only package carrier (save the USPS, of course) who does not treat my post office box—my primary mailbox—like a nelly queen walking into a Fred Phelps sermon.

dude!!! that is SOOOOO proprietary!! you’re in SOOOO much trouble if any corporate punks find out. so, to ensure they do NOT ever know, you can give me a “protection” fee of $100. cuz I’m that good a friend. ;)

That looks just like the one I had at my last company. We use VPN here, so I don’t have a token key fob anymore. I kind of miss it. *sniff*

What I don’t miss, though, is the reset bars on the left of the display. I always managed to wait to enter the random code until there were no bars left, making the code invalid. My timing was awful.
