Peter Jennings (1938-2005)

There’s not much I can say about Peter Jennings that hasn’t already been said out there. But I did want to mention that for much of my childhood he was synonymous with the evening news. World News Tonight was my newscast of choice, and every evening Peter was our go-to guy. He was a class act and will be missed.

I agree. While I actually preferred to watch Tom Brokaw, I always admired Mr. Jennings. Very classy guy, indeed. An era has passed.

I don’t really watch the network news but it is sad… in that strange way you can come to feel like you know someone you only see on tv. Sudden too, only like 4 months ago he announced he was sick.
